The conclusion to the Tokugawa Rule goes into the introduction of the West to Japan, and the struggle the government undergoes to trade with outside countries without sacrificing their culture. But this balance does not go well for the Bakufu or the Shogun as the samurai attempt to make an example of the “treachery” made by the government.
