    Capturing the Hunt: Behind the Lens with Nick Duncombe of 495 Films

    In this latest episode of Wild Things & Wild Places, Josh and Joey are joined by special guest Nick Duncombe, the creative force behind 495 Films. Nick is not only a talented videographer but also an integral part of the Putting the U in Hunt Program with MFF, where he helps film these young hunters. His passion for storytelling through film comes to life as he shares real, raw, and genuine insights into his process, including some of his most exciting projects. Nick talks about one of his favorite projects, which involved filming for the City of Green River, Wyoming, with their Parks and Rec department, a project that allowed him to showcase the beauty of Wyoming's outdoor spaces. In this episode, we also reflect on his recent work with the hunt for Ana, featured in the last podcast, adding a powerful close to the trilogy that began with Cody Robbins' and the crew on the early morning hunt.     Ohio to Wyoming: Ana's Inspiring Elk Hunt and the Power of Family and Perseverance

    In this heartwarming episode of Wild Things & Wild Places, host Joshua Coursey introduces listeners to a remarkable young hunter, Aeriana (Ana) Quinteros, and her family from Navarre, Ohio. As part of the Putting the U in Hunt program, Ana, alongside her father Cody, mother Ashley, and little brother Oliver, embarked on an adventure they will never forget. Ana, a dedicated and passionate young hunter, leads an active life despite using a communication device to speak and complete her work. She participates in 4-H, showcasing her animals and playing wheelchair soccer, all while nurturing her love for the outdoors through hunting and fishing. The Putting the U in Hunt program is a transformative initiative designed to provide youth with opportunities to experience the thrill and tradition of hunting while fostering a deep connection to the outdoors when they otherwise may not have the chance. Since its inception, the program has impacted the lives of over 100 young hunters, all of whom have successfully completed their hunts, showcasing an incredible 100% success rate. Ana's story reminds us of the power of perseverance and passion, as well as the impact the Putting the U in Hunt program has had. Tune in to hear Ana’s inspiring story and the incredible support from her family and the MFF team. This episode is a true celebration of family, resilience, and the love of the hunt. Spoiler Alert: Flying from Cleveland, Ohio, to Rock Springs, Wyoming, on September 24th, Ana and her family were greeted by the Muley Fanatic Foundation (MFF) team. With the support of her hunting team—Joey Faigl (MFF), Cody Robbins (Live2Hunt), Rich Casement (Live2Hunt), and Nick Duncombe (495 Films)—Ana’s journey culminates in a successful elk harvest at 7:16 AM on September 26th.
