Wise Women Diaries stories are rooted in shedding victimhood and shame. We take radical responsibility for our lives: turning pain to wisdom, learning the voice of fear vs intuition, the beauty of healing childhood wounds, and learning how to trust ourselves. Women share their myriad of lessons: how motherhood is the greatest spiritual journey, their children are their teachers, and the power they reclaim by stepping out of the medical paradigm in homebirth, freebirth, or ’infertility.’ Email wisewomendiaries@gmail.com to submit your story.

Choosing to Use the Medical System for a Medical Need in Birth | Celena's Story
Celena Martin (@ceeingyouthrough) is a doula, wife, and mother to her son. She shares her incredible story of waiting two years until she became pregnant, with God giving her an astounding dream the day she conceived, that plays a pivotal, essential role in her birth story. She did not partake in common medical surveillance throughout her pregnancy, until her body showed her a symptom to seek help. Celena's story is an example of using intuition to guide our decisions, being still when we are called to be still... taking action when we are called to take action... and utilizing the medical system in birth when there is a medical need!
