Your boys start off the first half of the episode light. Austin went to Sonic Temple, and has a banana on his shoulder. At this point, we've talked about bananas so much, we might as well start a cult! We run down some bands and Wes lists off the very few concerts he's been to. Christina Aguilera still gives him weird feelings. Also, GHOST wants to vibrate your anuses ... so yeah.
Next, Austin has a game that Wes finds disturbing. But what the hell, who is he to judge?! Shock collars are fun for the whole family! In what is to become a running bit, Wes gets pedantic again and attacks the English language. Why are "meat", "meet" and "greet" all the same vowel sound but "great" isn't? Are you having a stroke yet? Also, how don't all vampires have AID's? Did you know real vampires take HIV tests before drinking blood? Wes did and Austin is angry with this whole premise! Then, Austin tells us a story about being out past curfew and a wolf cop with impeccable timing, Wes tells us a story about headbutting his wife(consensually!!!), and both worked themselves out in the end. All relationships need a healthy level of dickery, and we prove it!
Those edibles we ate at the start of the show must have hit us weird, because the second half gets real serious. What the heck is going on in Alabama and other states that have passed regressive abortion bills recently? We previously solved abortion (clearly) but we revisit it for old times sake. Is this all a part of a conspiracy to keep the left and the right at each other's throats? Maybe not, but we think a lot of these issues are inextricably tied together. How do we fight back against the split media and the both sides-ism of modern social dialogue? We try to wrap our heads around it and end up feeling pretty frustrated in the end. Also, just because Wes said he would, Here's those drone statistics!
