    [Ian Abramson] Is The Genre

    [Ian Abramson] Is The Genre

Tim Barnes chats with comedian Ian Abramson about discovering his voice as a comedian, and preparing for his debut standup special The Heist.
Here’s Ian’s bio, as written on his website:
Ian Abramson? I haven't heard that name in a long time...
Well, not the way you pronounce it anyway.
My name is Ian Abramson (I'm sorry, you're still reading that wrong. EE-IN ABE-RAM-SHGERT).
I grew up in the Inland Empire. Between San Diego and Los Angeles. Weird area, but it made me a weird guy so who’s complaining? I went to college and I worked in summer camps. I’ve been told I have camp counselor vibes, which I guess just means I’m a lot sometimes.
I’m a comedian. I write, I act, blah, blah, blah.
They say not to make your website funny, but if you’re looking for something serious online I’d suggest Wikipedia.

    [Molly McAleer] Is The Genre

    [Molly McAleer] Is The Genre

Tim Barnes chats with comedy writer and podcaster Molly McAleer about her journey from blogs, to television, to her own Solid Listen podcast network.
Molly McAleer is one of the three co-founders of the popular female friendly website HelloGiggles and a writer for CBS’s Two Broke Girls. She has worked in traditional and online media for over a decade and prides herself on her ability to spot talent in the wild. She used this skill while successfully helping to develop hundreds of young writers at the website she co-founded, Hello Giggles. After reintroducing herself to the podcasting space in 2013, she realized that a lot of the popular hosts she listened to came from a traditional media background or were pursuing similar goals in the entertainment industry. While many of those podcasts are very good and rightfully successful, she felt that there was a big gap between casual hobbyists and those who were making a living in this space. That’s when it occurred to her that she should continue to use her online platform to elevate fresh voices that excited her.
