We're diving deep into the disturbing reality of sex trafficking happening right in our own backyard, particularly in Northwest Indiana. The numbers of missing people are staggering, and the lack of awareness and coverage is alarming. Our guest, Alicia, shares her harrowing experience from 20 years ago when she narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping by a gang in California. Shockingly, this event took place in Griffith, Indiana. Alicia's story sheds light on the hidden dangers and the urgent need for increased awareness and action in our community. But amidst the darkness, there's hope. We highlight the incredible work being done by local heroes to support those rescued from sex trafficking. One such beacon of hope is "Ashley's House," a safe haven for survivors to heal and reintegrate into society.
