I listen to 99pi when driving, while at work, and in other moments in-between the daily rhythms of life. It’s hit that wonderful balance between being so well-produced and telling powerful stories about the things we don’t necessarily notice. Thaaaank you Roman Mars and team!

Can’t we just keep this to design? And not push the woke agenda of the moment that will be outlived by the Bauhaus, post modernism, et cetera? Ending every podcast with a diversity message, or a big chunk of revisionist history leaves a really really bitter taste in the mouth. Just stop it. We care about your design insights, not your personal politics.

I am now a willing podcast addict because of 99pi. They introduced me to what brilliant radio format journalism and storytelling is and I am eternally grateful to them for that. Definitely THE BEST podcast out there, no really! As an Industrial Designer based in South Africa, I'm used to having to explain myself, "what is an industrial designer?" As the name states, I find 99% Invisible often covers topics/ designs/ systems etc. which people take for granted or just assume that it has always "just been there" such as Episode 308 - Curb Cutting Basically they cover topics of things "I've often wondered about" such as who's behind the designs of certain emoji's, why the kidney shape pool is so iconic etc. Also, the podcasts are just long enough not to get bored of it and the presenters' voices don't make me fall asleep or lose concentration. If only university lecturers sounded this professional, class might've been interesting (in my case at least ;)
