Emergency Episode in Response to SPD, the Murder of George Floyd, and Genocide of Black Americans

As most of you know, there is a genocide of Black Americans occurring in the United States today. I ask that you visit https://www.aclu.org for more resources to donate and get involved. Last episode, you learned I am an introvert. But we have to step outside of our preferences in order to speak for what’s right. It isn’t perfect—our allotted time was cut from two minutes to one—but here is my public testimony at the Seattle City Council and Lisa Herbold’s Public Safety Commission’s Emergency Meeting. You will hear my testimony be cut off at the end by the Council. Seattle and many other American cities have become dictatorial war zones where civilians are being brutalized and murdered for peaceably exercising their rights. I’ve worked inside and outside of politics, and I know that in our system there is only concern for job security and advancement of power, not for equality and progress. Please elect Black womxn leaders, please protect your Black and Brown neighbors, please organize behind Black leadership. Twilight (2008) Movie Commentary Track for Quarantine and Beyond

Hello, star-crossed lovers! Ready for the upcoming release of Midnight Sun?? Please enjoy this, Meghan Solo’s first EVER recording of nearly anything: the commentary track for the Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson vehicle based on Stephenie Meyer’s smash, Twilight. In this episode, Meg battles flu symptoms and microphone battery packs to bring you some personal anecdotes about these stories. Keywords and phrases to listen for include “sweet” and “deeply flawed.” **** For more Twilight content at this time of need, please check out two amazing influences on this podcast, “The Nibbler” and “Twilight in Quarantine” podcasts. **** There were many errors in this episode, including the year this film actually came out!
