Mohamed - European Solidarity Corps and Living at the border
In this episode, I interview Mohamed from Morocco . Currently living in Germany, he explains us his participation to the European Solidarity Corps program. Passionated by what he is doing here, Mohamed is sharing with us his life at the German Border at Frankfurt (Oder). We discuss what is so special about living at the border and this led him to compare it to his life in Morocco at the border with Spain. Lastly, I asked him about his relationship with the french language and why he refuses to express himself with it. He is particulary aware about what the french language means for his country : remains of the colonisation and the French domination... This also let us to question the domination of the english language in our world...Do we benefit of it or are we dominated by it ?
In these very special times of a global pandemic, I am collecting testimonies of our globalized time and the influence of the international on everyone: whether it is a benefit, the loss of our roots, or interdependence which may be harmful both to humans and the environment, we are all interconnected, globalized. Good or bad? Thanks to this podcast, I wish to observe how we live the international in our daily life through a series of interviews conducted in French and in other languages. I hope to give you a reflection on our world and our times because it is impossible to deny the impact that globalization has on us; whether you are multilingual or have never been abroad, you cannot escape: just look at the phone or computer on which you are reading this text ...
Therefore, I wish to give you the desire to question with me our world through these discussions.

Naima - Growing up while moving countries and Sustainable development
In this episode, I interview Naima from Germany. But if Naima was born in Germany she actually lived in a lot of different places as she moved countries every four years since she was a kid. This led me to question where are her roots, and that surprisingly she might be more comfortable speaking English than her own mother tongue. In this episode, we are also discussing what is sustainable development as it is an important matter in which Naima is really involved, and as she is studying this matter at the university in Scotland. She explains some important concepts as social justice and eco-anxiety. And this led us to ask what is responsibility, and what is our responsibility today?

Adela - How International workcamps built her European identity (Czeck Republic, Germany, Poland)
In this episode, I interview Adela from the Czech Republic in an international workcamp in Germany. She explains what is an international workcamp, how it is working, and how to participate. If you like languages, traveling at a cheap cost, meeting a bunch of new people, while providing voluntary work (which is great for your cv), you will find the answers in this episode. She also explains what she is doing in Germany, why this workcamp means a lot to her, in particular the notion of Peace and the communist history of her country...
