From Pioneering BASE Jumper to Simplicity Seeker with Steve Dines

From Pioneering BASE Jumper to Simplicity Seeker with Steve Dines

In this episode, we chat with the legendary Steve Dines, who’s spent 40 years of his life skydiving. He’s flown outside camera for multiple world competitions and records and is respected as a pioneer in the early era of Australian BASE jumping in the 80s and 90s. His stoic attitude and relentless pursuit of always striving to do what no one else had done before, laid the groundwork for four decades of flight.
Dancing on the edge of danger, he nearly faced a lifetime ban from skydiving after deliberately opening his parachute at the low altitude of 300 feet, while his 500 ft exit over Nobbys Beach in Newcastle rattled a few feathers.
As the first person to BASE jump from the top of the Australian Harbour Bridge in 1987 and the opener of the renowned high exit jump at Bungonia State Forest, Steve made a profound mark on Australian jumping.
Buckle up as Steve shares a few of his captivating stories with us, alongside his newfound appreciation for living a simple life with his family, a sunset and a glass of red wine.

You Can Be High, or Happy with Cole Chance

You Can Be High, or Happy with Cole Chance

In this episode, we share an incredible story of transformation with Cole Chance, a seeker whose path led her to the depths of addiction, to all corners of the world and most importantly to the path of Yoga.
Cole was in and out of rehabilitation centres, detoxes, hospitals, and 12 step rooms throughout her 20’s, never fully resonating with the idea of sobriety. Despite encountering yoga early on in her recovery journey, it wasn't until a life-altering overdose forced her to confront the reality of her dependence that she fully embraced the practice. She finally reached out for help of her own accord, began to unwind through therapy, found a supportive community, and landed full surrender into her yoga practice. Her recovery process continues today, intertwined with a life she never even dreamed possible.
Join us as we explore Cole Chance's path from addiction to freedom, discovering the innate potential for healing that lies within us all.
Cole teaches yoga in many capacities from online to festivals to international retreats, but her flow, passion, and most fluent language lay in supporting people who have also traversed the narrow dark halls of addiction and are ready to emerge into a thriving life beyond.
