Michael Dunahee

Kudos to you on your reporting of Michael’s disappearance. This report brought chills, especially the brown van man, it sure hits too close to home! It’s so disappointing that our local police refuse to cooperate in an investigation that went so seriously wrong. Our daughter was only 3-mths old when this happened and our city went into lockdown where families did not feel safe in one of the safest cities in Canada! I hope and pray that your investigative reporting gets some answers and closure for the Dunahee family. In the words of every cold case “somebody knows something”! Yes, I believe the said property finally needs a proper search but I plead that the property owners do not get infiltrated by do-gooders! Let’s hope this is done respectfully by professionals as it should🥺

Hmm. Seemed ok at first, but

.this show went way downhill fast. By episode 5, Laura Palmer is using really generalizing language to talk about sex work. As a former sexworker myself, I can promise you people don't just do that work to make some guy happy. Having someone book your clients can be a form of protection and take some of the pressure off. If a person is beating the sex workers he employs, that's obviously bad. But there are lots of people running safe places for sex workers to ply their trade and most of them don't care if you come or go. This stereotype of the violent man from a fatherless childhood who beats women needs to stop. You are infantilizing sex workers when you promote this image, and that promotes taking sex workers' autonomy away. Have some journalistic integrity.

Hope these can be solved

Well-researched and good to hear from the families. Portraits of the victims are respectful and in-depth. But the narrator’s slow and staccato speaking style can be irritating.
