Light Therapy, EMF and Passive Sweating with Brian Richards Achieve DEPTH Radio

    • Health & Fitness

Light Therapy, Infrared light specifically, Grounding, EMF exposure and Passive Sweating are all talked about in detail during this podcast.

If you want to improve your ability to recover from injury, optimize your mental capacity, minimize the likelihood of disease and enhance your ability to perform in your sport, this is the podcast for you!

SaunaSpace are the lights and saunas we use at our Vault Performance Center in Orlando (TheVaultPerformance.com) and the technology I use with my athletes in the MLB, NFL and on the PGA Tour.

This show is packed with amazing topics and you will no doubt leave with a greater understanding of the power light and passive heat has to heal and boost your immune system (while escaping man made EMFs at the same time!!!)

We begin with the basics: What is light and what are the differences between the wavelengths within the electromagnetic spectrum. What wavelengths are visible light?

• BRIAN: I don't think people realize that light comes from the same type of energy as the microwave. The radio waves. Light is technically only the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum. This spectrum
is infinite. Basically it starts at zero nanometers and goes on for infinity. And the higher energy stuff has shorter wavelengths with higher frequency. So it starts out like gamma rays with really high frequency and really short wavelength, Violet and then you get this little tiny ban that’s visible light. And then you get past that and you're getting lower and lower energy with longer wavelengths. You get into what's called the infrared, which we'll talk about a lot as it has an essential biological role.

After infrared, you get into wavelengths like microwave, then you get into even longer wavelength like radio waves. So these are all different yet all on the same spectrum of the electromagnetic field.

Visible light is only a little tiny portion of this massive spectrum, it's a fundamental aspect of the physics of our universe and yet there's only a small portion that we see with our eyes.
The sun is the original light source for the earth and nourishes all life on Earth. It's a full spectrum light source. And that's what natural light is. Light that comes from the sun is incandescent. In other words, it's the temperature of the emitters that is so hot that it begins to emit light naturally as in the tungsten filament that's in the thermal light bulbs that we use and all incandescent bulbs. All of these are all natural light and natural light is broadband. Broadband is broad spectrum. It's pretty much all the wavelengths.
• People say, “Well, how could this be better than sunlight.” Well, it's not, Sunlight is the best, but that requires that we have an intimate relationship with sunlight and be naked under the sun, every day, exposed for hours early in the morning and in the evening. Living that natural cycle of sunrise and sunset and not having any artificial light exposure at all.

In this podcast we cover how light can help dementia, Alzheimer's, injury healing, recovery from training and competition, healing concussions, improve performance on the field and in the gym, anti-aging, EMFs, and MANY other topics!
