Arboretum Boomrijk: Even the trees in Eindhoven are international
The Arboretum in Park Meerland hosts over a thousand trees and shrubs from four continents. A truly international setting. When we asked Tom van Duuren of Arboretum Boomrijk in Meerhoven about a beautifiul tree garden in Meerhoven, we learned that in fact many trees all over the city originate from other countries. It gives a great
opportunity to connect with nature.
The arboretum is taken care of by volunteers. Residents can not only enjoy the collection of trees, but also adopt and donate a tree, for a special occasion or memory. April 14th, Mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem planted the "Burgemeesters boom", a special species of tree discovered in China, that invites to celebrate special events. Traditionally it is often surrounded by letters and messages hanging from the branches.

Adjust your bio-clock to Daylight Savings Time faster
We shifted our wall clocks to Daylight Saving Time, and it took "minus one hour" to achieve that. But how long does it take the human body to adjust the biological clock? It turns out that a walk outside can help a lot to accelerate to transition, provided that yo do that at the right time of day. But of course, in the LoLiPoP-IoT project, the question also is "How can a Healthy Building help to smoothen the transition?" Using today's models on circadian rhythm, at Eindhoven University of Technology we calculated the effects.

Join European Debates at Parktheater, Eindhoven
A debate competition for all young people in (region) Eindhoven. Teams from other cities in the Netherlands and Belgium will also be present. Debate with your team! Jacques Giesberts and Parktheater invite also internationals to this event on April 15th. Europe and the European Union have become indispensable in the news, social media and also in our daily lives.
