    Truer Words Were Never Spoken

    Truer Words Were Never Spoken

Episode 5 of The Awe-Full Life Podcast.
There is a huge push for clarity in branding - if your customer/audience doesn’t know exactly who you are and what you do you will ultimately lose them.
But there are many other areas of life - creativity being one of them - were a little misunderstanding goes a long way.
Our brains are capable of amazingly creative connections - instinctive insights, I’ll call them - that don’t rely on truth or facts to form. What we hear and what we understand are actions of the subjective experience it is to be human.
Insight - truth - can come from anywhere. Do yourself a favor and stop analyzing the source and simply ponder the depth and awe of the insight.
Just because it didn’t actually happen doesn’t mean it can’t impact you.

Finally, A Use for Dental Floss

Finally, A Use for Dental Floss

Episode 4 of The Awe-Full Life Podcast.
Here are a few things that are so passé:
    * Specialized media devices (think mp3 player, GPS, calculator…)
    * Single-use plastic (I mean, come on)
    * Thinking you have only one thing to offer
Everything in this world can be repurposed
Everything can serve a secondary or tertiary purpose (I really just wanted to say tertiary… tertiary) - and that includes all of us.
There are no one-trick ponies; we all posses multiple talents and skillsets that can bring joy and life to others around us. The trick is to notice them.
Once we see that, once we see ourselves and others as bottomless wells of potential, we just might start interacting in different ways. We just might starts learning and growing in ways we’ve never expected, from people we’ve never considered.
I’m talented at innovative thinking. And, according to my son, I’m also good at keeping the baby away from electrical stuff - not a bad skillset for the ‘ol resume…
If you look, if you allow it, I think you’ll find you have a pretty Awe-Full life.

    Water Bottle Beliefs

    Water Bottle Beliefs

First and foremost, I want to thank my good friend, Josh, for being here to share part of his story and challenging us to see our lives differently.
Episode 3 of The Awe-Full Life Podcast.
How you see things is, simply put, how you see things. It doesn’t make you right or wrong, it simply makes you, you.
We can spend our time trying to figure out who is right and wrong and how to “fix” one another, or we could simply recognize that we’re all different, and spend out time trying to understand one another.
This doesn’t mean everything and anything goes; it does means we’re all seeing a different side of the water bottle.
And no matter how much you know, how intelligent you are, how deeply you thought about something, you can never see the entire water bottle at the same time.
Life is complex, and that’s what makes it Awe-Full!
Hopefully Josh’s story spoke to you - though I’m sure it meant something different to you than it did to him or I.
Leave a comment and let us know your perspective, and definitely connect with Josh on Instagram to hear more about what he’s finding out about life.
And why not share this with a friend and start your own Awe-Full conversation?

    It's a Tradition

    It's a Tradition

Episode 2 of The Awe-Full Life Podcast.
When I think about all the things I’ve given mental space to, all the things I worry about, care about, think about, I’m surprised what’s in there.
I’m also surprised but what isn’t there, or, at least, what’s desperately underrepresented.
I’m a big picture thinker, not terribly good with details. I’m constantly humbled by the generosity and care of others who are detail people; the ones who care enough about others to rearrange their mental space accordingly.
I’ve found these people to be the most creative because they are solving one of the most important problems in existence: meaningful human connection.
    Caring isn’t a one-time, seasonal gift, it’s a tradition… Pass it on.

    You Can't Count Soup

    You Can't Count Soup

Episode 1 of The Awe-Full Life Podcast.
We spend a lot of time trying to quantify our lives, but our lives are often better when we simply enjoy what we have.
This doesn’t mean you can’t/shouldn’t measure, analyze, tweak, prod; we should absolutely do these things, but they’re not the only way forward.
    Don’t forget the small things.
Experience and enjoy your life… before it gets cold!
