Common Sense with Dan Carlin is an independent look at politics and current events from popular New Media personality Dan Carlin.
Carlin's self-described "Martian" viewpoints infuse each episode with a political alien's take on the world around us and the problems it faces. It's a smart, unique (and admittedly U.S.-centric) program that doesn't dumb down the information or analysis for the slowest person in the room.
Carlin's rapid-fire staccato voice has been compared to William Shatner after too many espressos. That, plus his penchant for making everyone in the audience mad at him eventually, makes for a witch's brew of a podcast that is not for everyone. But for those craving a deeper intellectual analysis, a less partisan approach and unpredictable outside-the-box revelations, Common Sense with Dan Carlin is a feast for the mind.

The best podcast ever
Dan (and Ben) the way you help me look at the world has changed my life. As a Scottish man living in Berlin, dan has kept me in touch with every alien point of view of our troubled times. Excellent counterpoints, exquisite insight. When the rubber meets the road, dan gives me the Macro and the Micro every single time. Thank you for opening up the conversation so I can contradict my own values and accept other points of view. Thank you Dan(and Ben if there is a Ben).
Best non partisan political commentator
I've been listening to Dan for the last four years or so. Thanks to him I've learned and understood a lot of what's going on inside the United States, that is hard or impossible to grasp for me not having grown up there. He gives deep cultural insight and offers 'pie in the sky' solution proposals. I really appreciate his non partisan and pragmatic approach to topics that in other parts of public media are discussed rather emotionally. That might be the German in me speaking ;). Really happy I found him back then and even happier he's still going strong. Cheers.
Dan Cucklin
Unfortunately Dan turned into a very soft, cucky man. He doesn’t understand US political discourse very well.
