    #662 : Kaya Stewart / Singer Songwriter

    #662 : Kaya Stewart / Singer Songwriter

Kaya Stewart has been writing and recording songs since she was 13 years old. Sure Dave Stewart of Eurythmics is her Dad but that doesn't guarantee talent or success and she knows that.
After a song she wrote and recorded blew up on Soundcloud, records labels started knocking on her door.
Soon she found herself on Warner Brothers Records and out on the Vans Warped Tour but it wasn't all dreamy.
Kaya decided to start over and do things her way. During the Pandemic she was diagnosed with OCD which was the catalyst to write the collection of songs that make up her new album IF THINGS GO SOUTH which was co-written and co-produced by Dave Stewart.
The record comes out Sept 30th and will be available on all streaming platforms.
Kaya has an incredible voice and is a great songwriter and I really dig some of the songs on her new album.
I think you guys are really gonna dig this episode.

Dean put’s on the best podcast i so far know. I came here because I’m a huge Black Crowes fan. Through his podcast and the guests he had on, I found out more about the Crowes than I ever thought I would. Finally I can put things together i was wondering about for years.

Since then I listened to so many other episodes. The conversations just flow naturally, and the way he asks and paces the talks, these cover so much ground. For musicians this podcast is really a goldmine. Haven’t had the time yet to listen to the comedians, but I am sure there is more greatness.

I feel Dean is a brother in spirit, a soulmate. He has the guests I would invite if I had a podcast (my all-time true hero Marc Ford, Rich Robinson, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Josh Homme, etc.), he asks the questions I would ask and find interesting.

It’s all in there: Life, Death, Music, Art, Culture, Drugs, Madness, Love, Compassion - just a lot of fun.

Keep it up brother!

Great Rock Stories and Great Guests

Deans show is awesome. He is a great interviewer and his passion for comedy and rock music is second to none! If you are a fan of good old school rock music and great comedy, Deans the man to listen to.
