We're putting our ruby slippers back on and heading back to the yellow brick road this week as we review Disney's 1985 movie, 'Return to Oz'. Billed as a semi-sequel to the classic musical, this film takes a much darker approach to the world of L. Frank Baum's book series. We see Dorothy, now an inmate awaiting electrotherapy, travel back to a much more twisted Oz than she remembers, a lot more reminiscent of Jim Henson's Labyrinth than the world she first visited. Double the horror, double the mystery, double the Cronenberg. This week, we've got a double feature for you! Two movies by the father of body horror, David Cronenberg. We have a Stephen King adaptation in the form of 'The Dead Zone', which is a fairly toned-down psychological drama about Christopher Walken and his mind-powers. Then we go all out with 'Videodrome', a truly messed up horror movie about television, packed to the rim with gore and visceral imagery that won't be easily shaken from your mind.

Well, we're reviewing another Tarzan movie. What could go wrong? ...a lot apparently, this is one of the worst movies we have ever reviewed. 1981's 'Tarzan, the Ape Man' is an awful adaptation of the Tarzan story, featuring some of the most uncomfortable scenes we've ever had to watch the podcast, as well as some of the worst behind-the-scenes stories we've ever uncovered while recording this podcast. We haven't done one this bad in a while!
