S2E5 Table Talk - Community & Collaborations feat. Lorielle Phillips

S2E5 Table Talk - Community & Collaborations feat. Lorielle Phillips

In this episode Kylie chats to Lorielle Phillips, Founder of Elle's Kusina, Stockholm Charcuterie, Tzocolate Product Manager and Head Chef of Sizzle.se

3 years ago, Lorielle packed up her life in Singapore and moved to Stockholm with her family. Since then, she had started three brands while getting her hands on as a product manager and head chef of a food tech company.

Lorielle's shared how she found her community in Stockholm, in a hospitality and creative-centric co-working space. Getting involved in her newfound community led her to entrepreneurship. One of the most important lessons she learned in her journey is to "knock on windows when the doors are closed". She collaborates with various ethnic chefs and home-based cooks to share their culture, delicacies, and stories with you. She supports young female Filipina entrepreneurs so they too can thrive in their businesses. This lady is a great friend of mine, and I am so very proud of all her achievements! I know, this is only just the beginning. Get ready to whet your appetite, Lorielle is taking the Stockholm food scene by storm!

S2EP 4 Table Talk - Culture Diagnosis & Coaching in Hospitality feat. CD Kotze

CD is a transformational coach with 34 Coaching. He was a "revamp specialist" for many Hospitality organisations. Being part of many pre-openings, building organisational culture is innate to him. We speak with him about how organisational culture is important and how we diagnose your culture's health. There are some insightful and refreshing ideas and strategies we can improve in our actions towards our vision and some techniques and ideas we can take a leaf from coaching. We also explored how coaching can help an organisation grow and strengthen from the inside so that we can flourish.

Look out for cute Doggo and heartwarming Dad of the year moments in this call. I sincerely enjoyed it :)

Hospitality is powered by people, I like to call them the heartbeats of hospitality. As we adopt innovation and technology, most would agree that it would not be the same without the people driving the industry. However, we need to ensure that we value the existing talents and continuously groom new generations of talents. We need to uplift the value of working in Hospitality, we need to become better leaders and role models, we need to empower our talents so it will leave a lasting, positive ripple effect on the future of our industry.

S2E2 - Experiences vs Transactions feat. Helen Douglas, Theo Hill, & Ivan Di Nasta

S2E2 - Experiences vs Transactions feat. Helen Douglas, Theo Hill, & Ivan Di Nasta

In this episode, I’ve invited some old friends to share a table and discussing Experiences and Transactions in the Hospitality Industry. Both elements are essential to us in our day-to-day operations, but how do we find the synergy. In this conversation, we have likened pure transactions to being “Vanilla” and balancing the act of the two like in an “Opera”. How interesting!

S2E1 - The Hospitality Mindset feat. Shaun de Vries

Ive had the honour of inviting Shaun de Vries from Melbourne to talk about THE HOSPITALITY MINDSET in our pilot episode. Before we met, I sent him a video about the infinite game from Simon Sinek and wanted to learn what he thought about the mindset of Hospitality and how it reflects on the way talents and the business will be groomed in reality. I'm linking the talk Simon gave to the Welcome conference about the infinite game below.
