Taking the Stage Her Success Story

    • Wirtschaft

This week Ivy Slater, host of Her Success Story, chats with her guest, Stacey Ryan. The two talk about creating a culture that feels like home, the importance of collaboration in partnership, and the impact that School of Rock has on the children and parents involved in their community.

In this episode, we discuss:

How her journey brought her to the C-Suite in School of Rock

How her first mentor shaped her career

Why School of Rock is so revolutionary to the children and parents involved

What challenges, lessons, and surprises she’s found in running a global organization

What she values so much about  her company’s culture

What Front Women does, and how Stacey’s passion project is evolving into a movement

Stacey Ryan is the Chief Operating Officer of School of Rock, the most revolutionary music education school in the world. Stacey and her team are responsible for all safety and compliance matters for the system, ensuring the successful operation of a complex environment that weaves talented artists, children, and parents together in a safe, creative, and educational environment. She has led the organization and students to music events across the globe, blending music education with existing industry experts. She has witnessed the impact music has on changing and saving lives.

Stacey is passionate about leaning into and navigating complexities specific to women in leadership roles in corporate America. With this passion, she developed and launched a Community Resource Group, Front Women, which meets quarterly. Discussions are focused on women empowerment and how to develop strong leadership skills in a predominantly male-driven industry. In her personal time, Stacey is an advocate for animal rights and social justice reform often volunteering her time at sanctuaries and with exonerated individuals.
