In this first episode of The Heart of Jacks Podcast Season 2, Dr. Eric Sprankle— Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and Co-Director of the Sexuality Studies program at Minnesota State University, Mankato—returns for another thought-provoking exploration of sex and sexual health.

Speaker, author, and educator, Jallen Rix holds a Doctorate of Education in Sexology. He has taught at the University of Nevada, Reno and the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. He also has a private practice in Palm Springs California, which includes personal consulting, body work, sacred intimacy, and surrogate-style partner experiences. He is a leading expert on the damaging effects of, and recovery from, ex-gay ministries and so-call "reparative therapy.”

Brian McNaught has been a pioneering educator on LGBTQ issues since he was fired by the Catholic Church in 1974 for being gay. He’s an author, columnist, radio and television host, podcaster and world-renowned diversity trainer. Brian now offers most of his books and DVDs free. He’s certified as a sexuality educator and is in a 45-year relationship with his husband, Ray.

In the interview, we talk about Brian’s resistance to the Vietnam War, his gay activism in the Catholic Church, his mission to help senior gay men experience sexual fulfillment as they age and much, much more, including the longest listing of inspirations of any HOJ guest to date.
