In this episode, we discuss the comparison's with the HIV movement and current medications such as Truvada that is used as Pre-exposure Prophylaxis. Percy Menzies proposes the use of oral naltrexone be used as PrEP to protect people against opioid relapse. We also discuss Ryan White and the user's unions that are really pushing to shift power back to people who use drugs in order to live healthier lives. 

As our country settles into the realization that we have an opioid crisis, leaders and communities struggle to keep people alive.  In this episode, I discuss the current public health crisis that the United States is facing. I talk with the President and Founder of Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA), Percy Menzies, to learn more about the history of how we arrived at this moment in the epidemic. We also discuss what is currently being done and what needs to be done moving forward.
