Living in a constant state of stress also leads to weaker immune systems and a lower life trajectory.     Part of healing is learning to forgive others for yourself, as well as learning to forgive yourself. Health and well-being is more than the physical as it’s the emotional/mental/spiritual balance that influence your physical. Lack of forgiveness is simply you holding onto the energy of experiences which you will continue to carry, poisoning yourself. Lack of forgiveness means you haven’t learned the lesson you was supposed to learn in order for you to elevate in yourself. Lack of forgiveness truly only affects you.     Growing up the hood, especially specific cultures, we see the stigmatization of going to therapy. The notion that “therapy means you’re crazy” truly was built on the systems in place. Seeking therapy is being able to talk to someone who could help you identify your behavior patterns, help you unpack your traumas, and even help you navigate/create a new direction in your life. The stigma surrounding therapy and mental wellness takes away your freedom to be true to you and live a life free of generational trauma. Therapy is a tool that could be used to strengthen yourself and redefine who you are and who you want to be!

    Our first levels of love, being our parents, are the foundation of how we receive and perceive love. In the hood, many of us grow up without a solid foundation of what unconditional love is. The experiences we have and/or the false realities we create limit our ability to love and be loved as well as our understanding of the type of love we deserve.     Growing up in the hood we are conditioned to believe that being vulnerable is being weak. We walk around projecting the “tough” act and embody the belief that not feeling emotion is a strength. Developing our emotional expression is how we reclaim our power. I truly believe “closed mouths don’t get fed.” Take your power back and release the belief that being vulnerable makes you weak. Embracing vulnerability is the strongest most scariest most rewarding thing you’ll ever do for yourself

    Traumatic experiences that we’ve faced whether it’s Adverse childhood events or other events throughout our lives, leave a memory in our mind and the energy is stored in our body. Energy is not meant to be held onto but to be transferred and transformed. To truly heal, we have to release the energy we have stored from life’s experiences that have caused us pain. We have to be the alchemist of our own energy and transmute pain. Releasing past trauma frees our minds from enslavement.
