3.E7: the lived experience of ADHD

3.E7: the lived experience of ADHD

In this episode, we chat about what it's like living with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, also known as ADHD. There are some points I wanted to clarify:

-this episode was actually recorded in December 2021, so our guest host was diagnosed with ADHD in January 2021 and myself in October 2021

-we refer to RSD as Rejection Sensitivity Disorder, it should be Rejection Sensitive Disorder

After this episode, I will be on a hiatus so thank you so much for joining me in all these different conversations and I hope you've been able to take away information or helpful tips to improve your mental health! Wishing you all the best with the ups and downs you may encounter in life, take care!

    3.E3: unhealthy relationships

    3.E3: unhealthy relationships

With our guest host Kavita, we discuss what unhealthy relationships are, how they impact our mental health, and what are some ways to navigate them. CW: examples given of unhealthy relationships.

I mentioned this on instagram but I also wanted to say it here: this episode was recorded in early 2020 and now that I’ve had time to think, I wanted to rectify one of the statements I made. I said I didn’t regret my unhealthy relationship because I learned a lot — that is false! Yes, I learned a lot of lessons and I also regret it immensely. If I could go back in time, I would’ve told myself to run at the first red flag. It definitely wreaked a bit of havoc on my nervous system and solidified some unhealthy beliefs about myself and about relationships. The time spent in lockdown has made me realize just how much I value healthy connections and making good memories. I wasted so much time in a situation that was not serving me when life is really too short to be doing that. If you were looking for a sign to leave an unhealthy situation, this is it!
