Welcome to "The Privileged Man Podcast", hosted by Pete Hunt, the founder of Monumental - a personal and professional development platform for men in their professional prime.

The Privileged Man Podcast is where we speak the unspeakable.

Let's give you the background: Raised in Surrey, UK, Pete's journey led him through an illustrious real estate career, working for Knight Frank, Merrill Lynch, and CBRE in London and Hong Kong.

After a few years in Hong Kong, Pete was invited to become a partner in a Real Estate Private Equity team in Bali, an assignment that, while heavenly on paper, challenged his existence. Juggling complex work situations, Pete's world shifted from light to dark.

This personal shift sparked a quest for healing and a peaceful mentality, driving him into the realm of business and personal development. He spent two years traversing the globe, engaging in deep self-reflection, and questioning his life trajectory and the world's future.

It was during this period that Pete realised that most modern day issues for men in their professional prime are mere whispers that are not discussed publicly due to internal or external shaming. Thus, the idea of The Privileged Man Podcast was born to bring light to these conversations in the shade.

Dr Erica Komisar is a clinical social worker, psychoanalyst, parent coach, and author with 30 years of experience. Erica is also a sought-after psychological consultant, bringing her expertise to clinics, schools, and corporations like Goldman Sachs.
Erica has written two highly influential books on parenting and is a media mainstay, appearing on CBS, ABC, FOX, and contributing to top publications like the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. She's also a Contributing Editor at the Institute for Family Studies.
I asked Erica on because I was enamoured by her points of view on parenting. They seemed to stem from a place of common sense in what can be a confusing picture in the modern day.
So - it is fair to say that speaking with Erica was a special experience, she doesn’t hold back and I’m grateful for her plain speaking.
