Wonderful podcast, shame about the adverts
6 Apr
I have followed Emma via her online video’s on YT since she started and the show saw me through 3 months in hospital with Covid and Pneumonia. I couldn’t wait for them to come on each week. I was hoping that this would be exactly the same which it is except for the adverts which arrive suddenly and are completely random. Nonetheless Emma does do deep dive’s in a different way than police officers would and I do love to see how the approach from a clinical approach would be. I am a retired long in the tooth Police Officer from the UK working in the busiest force and busiest division. Seen it all but how Emma picks it apart is incredible and I wish that she was around and available when I was studying etc. want a great deep dive into crime. Do it you won’t be disappointed.
Obsessed

Iv listened to every episode and strangely find it really relaxing I love the stories and the chat. The only problem is i want a new episode every night 😂 constantly on the hunt for new podcasts but this remains my absolute favourite
Emma is obsessed with Emma

Host talks about herself too much, somehow can relate to every single topic, location and person. One of those people where if you’ve been to Tenerife, they’ve been to Elevenerife. Also, has quite warped views about how policing works and seems to think that people putting out racist tweets doesn’t amount to a crime. Avoid!
Great podcast, strange advertising cuts

One of the best true crime podcasts out there. Emma goes into such depth and makes cases I've already heard of sound fresh and brings new information to. There is sometimes really random and regular advertising cuts, which can be annoying but other than that. A great listen
Full of Scorn

Disappointing; this is someone who claims to be a psychologist yet seems to have a poor understanding of human psychology. It reads as a Daily Mail article brought to life, just full of scorn and mockery. I prefer podcasts that seek explanations (definitely not asking for excuses in forensic behaviours, however). This is just sanctimonious at best, ignorant at worst.
Love this podcast!

Great podcast, Emma really delves into the stories each week and explains it in an empathetic way to the victims of the crimes. Genuinely look forward to the new episodes each week
Shame

It’s a shame I’ve had to stop listening. The cases are interesting but the constant sarcasm, opinions and waffling every 2 minutes from the host - really ruins the story. Terrible delivery.
Fabulous

Love the stories. Love the detail. Love her opinion as professional. For those rating 1-2 stars. Rather than doing that. Maybe just don’t listen????? No need to leave negative reviews!

I love this podcast so much. Emma is an excellent host and I like hearing her opinions and insight as a psychological which differ from mine as a legal professional. Amazing podcast and will continue to listen 🤞🏼
Tone of podcast changed

I used to love this podcast which was a really interesting insight into crimes from a psychologist perspective. However, recently the host has become increasingly political with her own agenda and is offering subjective insight. I am no longer going to listen. However, would gladly return when this becomes more objective. Of course, we are all entitled to political and societal views. However, we can listen to political podcasts for this, and I feel the host’s at times venomous attitude towards politics taints what used to be a great podcast. Really quite saddened, as like I said, I used to really love this show
