Design Your Perfect Brand Logo with Katie Sinkowski

Design Your Perfect Brand Logo with Katie Sinkowski

When I decided I wanted to redo this VOpreneur logo this year, there was one thing I was certain of. I was working with a human. With the previous logo, I used an online design service and it was ok. But this time, I really wanted / needed to work through the process with a human.
That's when I found Katie Sinkowski online. Working with her on the VOpreneur logo process was incredibly insightful and somewhat therapeutic for me. She helped me translate a jumble of ideas and concepts in my brain into a logo that told a better story of the VOpreneur brand.
In this episode, I walk through the logo design process with Katie. We talk design, color theory, psychology, trends, fonts and so much more.
If you're in the market for a logo, or thinking of redoing the one you've got, this episode is going to be incredibly helpful for you.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS
Designing a logo is a complex process with many layers required to tell the right story.
Working with a human designer makes the logo design process easier and more enjoyable.
Color plays a significant role in brand perception and should be chosen carefully.
A logo should reflect the client's brand and speak on their behalf when they're not present.
AI can be used as a tool in graphic design, but it cannot replace the expertise and creativity of a human designer.
Considerations in design include color, consistency, and the use of print materials.

How to Use Data to Grow Your Voice Over Business with David Cui Cui

How to Use Data to Grow Your Voice Over Business with David Cui Cui

Most people, particularly most voice actors, don't get overly excited when you mention something like data analysis. We've got quite enough to do already to run our businesses as VOpreneurs.
However, there's a lot of information that can be gleaned from data. Data that can help us make better informed decisions. Data that can help us figure out where to focus our efforts (or not focus our efforts). Data that can point us in a better direction.
In this episode, David Cui Cui, voice actor and Data Analyst, shares insights with Marc Scott and a number of different ways looking at data can help voice actors run their businesses more efficiently and successfully.

Medical narration is a broad genre that includes various subgenres such as medical commercials, corporate scripts, anthem scripts, explainers, e-learning, mechanism of action and disease animations, ISI, and medical device.
Understanding the structure, unique words, and context of each script is crucial in delivering an effective medical narration.
Improv skills can be beneficial in narration, helping voice actors feel comfortable, be flexible, and get out of their heads.
Having a medical background can be an advantage in medical narration, but it doesn't guarantee success and it isn't a requirement.
Skills needed for medical narration include sounding intelligent, understanding complex scripts, and being able to interpret and deliver medical terminology accurately.
When creating a medical narration demo, it's important to showcase range, accuracy, and the ability to handle different types of medical content.
Medical narration continues to be a lucrative genre, as the demand for accurate and human-delivered medical information remains high.
