What everyone needs to hear! 💖

So I have been listening to fitness and sushi for well over a year now. I have always wanted to write a review but can never find the right words.

Inspired once again by this fantastic duo, I finally got my sushi at the ready and put pen to paper!

To put my love for this show in to context; I have listened to every single episode they have created at least 4-5 times, saving my favourites and counting down the days to Sunday where a new co-hosted episode is released (or Tuesday/Thursday ish where the new solo episodes are released) and they can be added to the list!

Tony and deanna shober share true, honest experiences of fitness, health, wellbeing and lifestyle choices entwined with humour and fun. Throughout the podcast they not only delve into their own health and fitness journey through time, but continue to investigate the reasons behind their decisions and the outcomes this has on their relationship with food, exercise, body and mind. They share vulnerable stories that become their greatest strengths and discuss how we can do the same. This fantastic sourcing, investigating and honesty fuels the sheer support they then offer out to the wider world beginning from the inside- out and expanding to life as a whole.

Their love for health and fitness expands even further as they additionally include the sharing of inspirational quotes, books and people of influence- giving credit where credit is due. They both display a sheer passion and drive for true and honest health, wellbeing and fitness advice that works long term with added humour and a drive for fun! All to help and support the wider community become the healthiest, happiest you!

But my love for this show goes beyond listening to their welcoming voices, hilarious humour and honest advice. This show has got me through some of my hardest days when I experienced illness/covid, lockdown, moving away etc. But it has also stayed with me through some fantastic days- empowering me to workout, inspiring me to eat without guilt, and encouraging me to listen to and honour my body, changing my life for the better. Overall, guiding me to become the best version of me for this present moment right now.

I can safely say that through their concepts of: permission based eating, ditching the all or nothing mindset and limiting beliefs, exercising to feel empowered, creating breakthroughs from struggles, and building a stronger, resilient, healthy me from the inside out... they really have changed the way I see the world, fitness and my health. I no longer fear food, I enjoy investigating the grey area between diet culture and body positivity... finding where I fit on the spectrum that day and asking myself what I truly need. And through every struggle I have, I am able to recognise the importance of addressing these without shame/guilt and feel empowered to grow and learn from this. I have not only smashed some of my fitness goals that I never thought possible but have become stronger, happier and healthier in all aspects of my life.

So go check this podcast out and you will never look back... 😍
