Fab!! Do NOT miss!!

The VRP is the best rock music podcast you’ll ever hear. The roster of guests that Paul has interviewed is extremely eclectic and covers the whole gamut of styles and genres that have developed since modern rock music took off in the 60s, including many, many hall-of-fame inductees and influential musicians and singers. I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough! If you decide to subscribe, do go back to the beginning and work your way through the early episodes, for some real gems. If, like me, you love hearing stories about life in a band, life on-the-road, and how songs and collaborations came about, you’ll not be disappointed. Enjoy!!

An Update, 25/04/2023:
When I discovered Vintage Rock Pod, I found a place where my music interests were more than just my own, but are shared by fans across the globe, and the memories and history of favourite artists are preserved and appreciated for posterity. I cannot say too many positive things about VRP and Paul Stephenson, the presenter. I first came across VRP on Facebook, and I won one of his famous ‘My Music Is Better Than Yours’ T-shirts. Encouraged by this, I’ve corresponded with Paul, sending him rock stories which he’s read out on the podcast, suggesting artists and fellow music lovers who he’s interviewed on the show, and generally supporting VRP ever since. My daily routine starts with playing the latest episode, either the ‘On This Day In Rock’ daily episode or the weekly ‘Big Interview’. Paul’s contacts in the ‘biz’ and music knowledge is extensive and impressive. He’s had so many Hall-of-Fame’ers on, I’ve lost count. Even when I’m less familiar with a particular guest, the interview’s always so interesting and informative that I can’t help but be impressed and excited, hearing the stories of how the music was created and the rock and roll lifestyle anecdotes that colour in the background to the songs. Paul always shares his own personal favourite top five tracks by his guests and invites listeners to write their own favourites and thoughts on social media, where he always tries to respond and interact. To sum up; What’s not to like? If you love Rock or any type of music, you’ll love VRP and there’ll always be something new to discover.

Subscribe and enjoy! You won’t regret it.

Excellent podcast

I’ve never really been a podcast person to be honest, but these are really good. So much information, insights and chat that has made lockdown just a little bit easier. Great alternative to listen to in the car to help the journey pass quicker.
