I've been listening to this podcast for a couple of years now. The guests are usually interesting and I enjoy the rapport between the two presenters. There's a good blend of "serious" discusson about finance and investing, and a bit of low-brow banter/swearing/smut to mix things up. All good. I just have one request : can someone ask Tim to stop with the quips and let the guests speak ? His constant interruptions are annoying and they break up the flow of the conversation. I'm just waiting for one of the guests to say, "Look mate. You just asked me a question. Could you have the decency to listen to my answer for five seconds before you cut me off ?" A mute button or some sort of high voltage dog-training collar might do the trick. Just a thought.
Excellent podcast
Tim and Paul have some excellent interview guests and have a healthy scepticism for governments and central banks. They approach investment matters from a value point of view and I think this is a healthy counterbalance to other podcasts who are talking up the latest ‘follow the herd’ ideas.
Podcast turned anti-Ukrainian/pro-Kremlin
I used to enjoy occasionally listening to this podcast.. until listening to podcast #170.
Anti-Ukrainian & Pro-Kremlin rants are completely unchallenged by the interviewers during this episode (and if anything, condoned). I find this pretty disgusting given what the Ukrainian people are currently suffering through.
Oh, and Putin is very “restrained” apparently..
Very disappointing to hear intelligent people with such one-sided/Pro-Kremlin views. There’s not one condemnation of the crimes perpetrated by the Russian military (or by Vladimir Putin), yet they happily blame the US for “bio labs” on Ukrainian soil (doesn’t every country have biolabs?.. doesn’t Russia have more biolabs that most other countries in the world?!).
I don’t like giving bad reviews but I didn’t feel
I had any choice after hearing this episode.
Please open your eyes and have a bit more compassion for the suffering of the Ukrainian people (and educate yourself on the involvement of the Russian security services in the Donbas in 2014, with the likes of Igor Girkin confessing as such).
