This was an intriguing premise but bad execution. I started to lose interest because they chose to include such long sections of the presenters/producers speculating pointlessly on each new bit of info. I haven’t heard this format in a podcast before and it really doesn’t work - what keeps me intrigued is my own speculation, not listening to a bunch of random people ramble about possibilities that came to nothing. Dragged the show out and totally killed any momentum

I enjoyed listening to them try and figure out Sue’s life. It’s amazing how many facts that they’re unable to nail down, due to age or memory of witnesses. My one big criticism is the one host’s repeated use of, “totally!!”. It grated every time it was said.

It was an ok series as a genealogy aspect but almost felt like a nothing event. The lesson that memories fade over time is not enough to warrant so many episodes.
Great journalism, moving conclusion

Whilst this does not have the satisfying narrative arc we expect from true crime podcasts, and it would have been great to solve a lot that went unsolved - the journalism that went into exploring every avenue was astounding, even if the story was somewhat a dead end. Without spoiling the end, unexpectedly the final episode had me sobbing. I hope this team get the opportunity to apply their journalistic skills and story telling to a subject that has more answers to be found than this did.
