Here we have people in rural Texas beguiled by the fact a woman had a British accent and invented a faintly ludicrous backstory which in their own minds explained the odd but not unexplainable background. It becomes clear that she just had quite a sad but ordinary family background which she left behind for sad but ordinary reasons. When the podcast asserts that she could be connected to the IRA, apparently purely because she’s British and the dates. Oh please. She clearly had absolutely zero connection with Northern Ireland. The UK is a country of 60,000 people - you can’t just assert a connection because she’s British and arrived when the Troubles were going on. To your British listeners this was absolutely absurd and ludicrous.

A mismatch between the capability of the podcasters and the complexity of the subject. Podcasters painfully oblivious. A story about inter generational trauma, terrible loss, and illness (endometriosis) but not told here. Podcasters sound very young and completely clueless. Excruciating
