A series of podcasts that aims to introduce how using a more mindful approach can help to manage stress and build resilience

    The "Chocolate Meditation".

    The "Chocolate Meditation".

A couple of years ago, I published a short series of podcasts called "Stress less in 2020 " which introduced a more "mindful approach" to managing stress and building resilience.  The aim was to give listeners some simple and practical tools and techniques to help them a little through the Covid Crisis.  (The original podcasts are still available under the new title).  I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has listened so far, I hope you've found something useful to apply during some really challenging times.

Throughout the last year or so, I've continued to deliver a variety of Mindfulness Programmes and many of my participants have asked me to record some guided meditations for them to use during their own practice.  So....I've decided to do just that!

This episode includes a simple "eating meditation", using chocolate, which gives us another way to practise mindfulness.  It will take just over 10 minutes and can be done at anytime during the day, so why not....."Take a break....stress less!"  NB: please avoid practising while you are driving!

Before you start, you will obviously need some chocolate!  Choose a brand or type that you have either never eaten before or eat very rarely.  I'd suggest a dark, flavoursome variety as there may be some health benefits associated with eating it in small quantities.  These may include: being rich in anti-oxidants; maintaining healthy skin; improving heart health and having a high nutritional value.

If you enjoy the podcast why not give it a rating or leave a review?  As always, if you have questions or if you'd like information about any of the services or programmes I offer, please feel free to contact me via my email address:  info@mindfulalchemy.co.uk; my Instagram page:  nr_mindfulalchemy; or my website: www.mindfulalchemy.co.uk

Resilience - "The Art of Bounce-back-ability"

Resilience - "The Art of Bounce-back-ability"

This is the third episode of the Stress less in 2020" podcast .

Of the episodes published so far, this is probably the most timely as, here in the UK, we are entering the second week of a national lockdown.

In this episode you'll find a brief explanation of what resilience is, why its beneficial and some simple guidance as to how it might be enhanced/developed.

To continue the theme of mindfulness, it also includes a version of a "Lovingkindness Meditation" that not only encourages "self care and compassion" but also enables a way of staying connected with family and friends during this challenging time of social distancing.
