The title is actually the spoof of the movie 'The Maltese Falcon' that was released in the year 1941. This novel was adapted for the film 'Just ask for Diamond' that was released in 1988.
Devil's note: One of the best comic mystery novel that I've ever read. If you're down or feeling low and you need something to cheer you up, 'The Falcon's Malteser' is the right medicine for you.
