    I was able to sit down and chat with Taylor Harris. Taylor is the creator and founder of Olive and Oats Hawaii. Taylor described her decision and the importance of using natural dyes for her brand, as opposed to synthetic. We discussed the environmental damage that occurs at the expense of mass synthetic dye usage and just how using food scraps to dye fabric is as sustainable as it is creative.     I was able to sit down and chat with Cara Benevenia. Cara is the founder and CEO of the Cara Benevenia brand. Cara described her decision to create her own brand and the importance of the consumer mindset. We were able to discuss brand creation, development, and the concepts of trends. One of our main discussion topics surrounds one of the vital definitions of sustainability: sustainable manufacturing practices, and how Cara manufactures her signature handbags right in her home state of New Jersey!
