For post night shift drive home

This show is awesome to unwind to after eight hours staring at screens on my drive home through deserted night time streets. After technical work it reaffirms the fact that a world of science fiction exists and the tales of the folk that write it are every bit as interesting as the published material. Good discussion and a fine selection of interviews, not sure if I can listen to them all having discovered the podcast only this year.

Brain candy

A fun and intellectually stimulating ride and a must listen for any sci-fi fan. Even when I know nothing about the guest, I find it makes great brain candy.

Also, dear host, special thanks to your mom for recommending Scythe in episode 400. Those books are good!!

The Green Hills of Earth

As expat American living in Japan for almost a decade it is very rare that I get to participate in the conversation about the geek things that I enjoy care about. So this is a welcome treat that makes me feel like I'm part of the sci-fi fantasy geekdom community again. Both the interviewees and topics are interesting and engaging, and the proceedings are intelligent, thought-provoking, humorous, and, for me a window on a subculture which I still feel a part of and have sorely missed.
