I am passioned about science and facts of insects. In this exciting episode, Dr. Li-Byarlay has interviewed Dr. Rodolphe Barrangou at North Carolina State University. The main topics are around microbiology, genetics, and genomics of CRISPR-Cas immune systems in bacteria. Dr. Barrangou has taken us to a journey of what shaped him into an outstanding scientist in his early years, his research career in both private and academic settings. After explaining the new genome editing technology of CRISPR/Cas9, he also gave us insights on the future of this powerful technology. In the end of their conversation, Dr. Barrangou also shared his thoughts on integrating Ph.D. and M.B.A. to be a high achiever and a better decision-maker, how to stimulate his lab members, and a great book worth reading.
