The age old definition of school educational quality is based on attaining mastery over the course content and learning is equated with accumulation of plethora of bookish information. However, having conventional schooling approaches during the precious formative years of the children leads to waste of resources and forgone opportunities for individuals and societies. It is an urgent need to move on beyond traditional educational models to help our children to develop the knowledge, skills, humane values and attitudes that are relevant and meaningful to their life. The approach of “learning for life" shifts the #agenda of #schooling away from the achievement of standardized learning outcomes toward making a positive impact on the learning and social well-being of children and society at large. This model necessitates significant changes in both the content and pedagogical processes.
