Guns and gun violence are discussed and argued with strong opinions, emotions, and a smidge of science. In our show, an epidemiologist will discuss all facets related to guns. We will understand the differences in opinion and science, debate the multiple dimensions of the complex underlying factors driving the risk of gun violence, and invite experts and listeners to contribute to this conversation. Sneak Peak
We have all had those “gun” discussions with friends and family. Often times we have whipped out some numbers to make a point and let’s be honest, we have all used those “numbers” to argue our point. Some of us are quite comfortable around guns and gun talk. But, many of us are terrified of the lethality and the danger guns can inflict on human bodies.
We will have robust discussions and we will fiercely disagree. However, we will do that with facts. We will throw in opinions, all informed by facts. But, we will be civil to each other, just because we are human beings and we depend on each other. The golden touch of science will prevail in all our shows. So, listen, engage, email, and even invite yourself to the show. Convince us that your points are based on facts. Not the pseudo-facts based on ill-conceived, fantastical assumptions.
