In this poem Allama Iqbal presented Iblees (Satan) as an anti hero where we see all his faults and flaws but he was presented in a way that we do not hate him but rather we envy his determination.

hamdam-e-dairīna kaisā hai jahān-e-rañg-o-bū

soz-o-sāz o dard o daaġh o justujū o aarzū

har ghaḌī aflāk par rahtī hai terī guftugū
kyā nahīñ mumkin ki terā chaak dāman ho rafū

aah ai jibrīl tū vāqif nahīñ is raaz se
kar gayā sarmast mujh ko TuuT kar merā subū
ab yahāñ merī guzar mumkin nahīñ mumkin nahīñ
