I’ve been listening to Dave for years and my husband and I use his advice. I have listened to Dave rants in good humor and I don’t agree with his veiled political affiliations. It’s clear which way he leans but he doesn’t say it outright. That being said I’m fine with it. BUT, recently he went on a rant and about taxes and said people who vote “wrong” should be ashamed of themselves. Money is not everything and political issues around taxes are complex in my opinion. This particular rant finally offended me and I’m taking a break from his podcast. I’ll probably circle back in time because the advice and stories are inspiring. I’m not ashamed of myself but I am disappointed today. Dave’s welcome to his opinions but the rant was in bad taste for a person who is rich in not only money but wisdom and who helps so many people.
Please stop letting Ken spout nonsense

Price controls are a bad idea. History bears that out, in spades. But Ken’s example of food deserts in rural and urban areas?? Sir, that is happening in this country in a big way as we speak. Read the news. (Thank you to Rachel for picking up on that.) Kamala Harris is a capitalist. She’s not going to institute Venezuelan-style price controls. She hasn’t said she wants to. And the fact is: it’s not going to happen. You all claim to have faith in America. Please prove it and quit the badly-informed histrionics. Dave, hysteria is bad for the market. You shouldn’t allow this on your show. And for Pete’s sake Ken, Ms. Harris is Vice President of the United States. Learn to pronounce her name.
Dumbest people on earth on this show

They put the dumbest people on this show and give the most basic advice: work harder and pay off your debt. That’s the entire show. Plus religious nonsense and MAGA nonsense. You’re welcome.

The advice was pretty narrow and pretty weak. 1) the caller should’ve been advised to make no decision without her daughter none. 2) try to see if you can get a roommate find somebody from church that you trust. There are always people that are looking for somewhere to live. Inflation has annihilated senior citizens lives and savings. 3) talk to your daughter and research reverse mortgages. It would free up some money and allow you to remain in your own home. Some companies are not reputable, but that’s why you’re making sure your daughters involved with decision-making. 4) perhaps apply for food stamps.
