Masters in Making

This podcast is intended for students in and alumni of the School of Counseling program at Colorado Christian University, and is designed to supplement your coursework as well as your interaction with faculty, staff, and your peers as you progress through the program. Our hope in this podcast is to help you on your own spiritual journey as you navigate your own life with God throughout these coming years in the counseling program while you are training to become, as CCU President Hogue has said, “competent, courageous, and convicted” counselor. Throughout this podcast, we will be discussing topics related to Christian spirituality and Christian integration, the intersection of counseling psychology and Christian theology and Biblical worldview. You will have opportunity to hear from the faculty and staff at CCU, as well as other experts in the counseling world, as we offer some of our stories and wisdom from our work within the mental health counseling field, as well as share about our own journeys with God along the way – our fumbles and foibles, as well as our service and successes, and the gracious fathering of God as we stumble after Him. We are a community of professionals, seeking to offer competent, ethical, and informed counseling to our communities. We are also a community of believers, of followers after the God who has inaugurated His Kingdom through the coming, the death, the resurrection, and the promised return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Empowered by His Spirit, we seek together to walk with Him in our profession and our respective roles in offering Spirit-led, Christ-anchored, and character-driven help to those we serve. This is the heart behind our efforts here in this Podcast, to invite you, dear listener, to sit at the table with us as we explore our work in the light of Christ’s work on our behalf.
