    12. I'M DIVORCED: The hard, the healing & what the f*ck divorce actually means to me

    Breath in, breath out.
    I am officially divorced (finally).
It has been a long time coming and I have gotten to used to using the phrase "going through a divorce" that it feels odd, yet perfect to now be able to say "I am divorced". This episode is a real and honest conversation with myself about what life feels like right now, what I have learned throughout this process, and ultimately what the fuck divorce really means to me. Because it is so much more than the end of a marriage between two people. This process is my own. This divorce was, is and always will be my own. And I hope one day my daughter will be able to listen to this a understand why this was the best thing that could have ever happened in her mom's life. Because although it takes some time and work to get here, it is how I feel and a direct reflection of the immense trust I have in LIFE. Thanks for listening and being a part of my divorce, my healing and my journey.

    11. Grateful & Grieving

    11. Grateful & Grieving

It is the day before Thanksgiving, and I feel a little out of sorts and although I have the intention to release new episodes on Wednesdays, it just wasn't going to happen this week. And then I tuned into all of the feelings and thoughts that came along with this experience of accepting I would skip this week (and I am sure I will skip more weeks ahead). In doing so, I wanted to share my experience and so here I am. Recording an episode on Wednesday about not having an episode to publish this week :) I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and allow yourself a moment (or 1,000) to JUST BE. Life is impermanent. Life is hard. Life is beautiful. This holiday season, I am grateful & I am grieving. And it is a beautiful place to be.

    10. Melāni's Story: A Nomadic Lifestyle, Trust, Being Home In Her Body

    10. Melāni's Story: A Nomadic Lifestyle, Trust, Being Home In Her Body

Some of us are lucky enough to know human beings whose very existence in the world brings about deep healing. For me, this is Melāni. If you knew me growing up, then you knew Mel. She was a best friend and the person I laughed the most with for most of my elementary and middle school years.
In this episode, we sit down and re-connect after almost two decades. Melāni lives her life in a way that is different than most. She felt underwhelmed with the traditional path that most walk and instead created a life that is in alignment with her deepest values. She is often in service of others, she is a nomad, sometimes waking up each morning not knowing where she will sleep that night. She is a healer. She honors her body with breathwork, meditation and movement and provides that same honor and healing to others.
Her healing path includes: Meditation, Prescription Drugs, Questioning Life's Path, Yoga, Ayurveda, Travel, Service, Being Spiritually Guided, Trusting The Universe, A Nomadic Lifestyle & Redefining Home Within Herself
She is a breath of fresh air and an inspiration to create a life that is TRUE to YOU, forget the rest. You can find Melāni on Instagram @melanigg18

    9. F*ck Forgiveness

    9. F*ck Forgiveness

Despite the episode name, this is actually a very honest solo episode about reframing or changing the way we view forgiveness. I use a series of questions from Dr. John Demartini (mentioned below) to break down what it means to forgive, and why we may never need to forgive anyone for the rest of our lives. Not because we are bitter or resentful, but because we can instead just thank them FOR GIVING us the experience.
    Forgiveness Questions:
    1. Where and when have you displayed or demonstrated this exact same or similar trait, action or inaction that you disliked or even despised? Where, when and who did you do it to, and who perceived you doing it?
    2. Go to the moment where and when you perceived them doing the behavior you think you need to forgive. Look at how, from the moment they did it until now, it SERVED you.
    3. Go to the moment when they displayed this trait, action or inaction. If they had displayed the opposite trait, action or inaction-in other words, if it was the way you wished it was in that moment- what would have been the drawback to you from that moment until now?
"To accuse others for one's own misfortune is a sign of want of education. To accuse oneself shows that one's education has begun. To accuse neither oneself nor others shows that one's education is complete." Epictetus

    8. Daryus' Story: Depression, Coming Out As Gay, Self-Acceptance

    8. Daryus' Story: Depression, Coming Out As Gay, Self-Acceptance

In this episode I welcome Daryus Blackburn to the podcast.
Daryus is so open and transparent about his healing journey which includes: Childhood Wounds, Parents Divorce, Being Gay, Depression, Self-Loathing, Coming Out, Self-Acceptance & Self-Love.
Daryus knows the path to healing is life long, but he has done a lot of self-healing and self-acceptance to be where he is today in life. The love and acceptance he shows others is a true testament to the love and acceptance he has learned to show himself. It was not easy to get here, but it is the darkest seasons of life that provide the most amount of growth.
You can find Daryus on Instagram @daryuslb
