    • Education

Dr. Sarah Meyer shared on this episode about the of emotions she had after her fifth pregnancy ended in an early pregnancy loss. They ranged from being angry at God, to being angry at her body for betraying her. She struggled with thinking, it would be emotionally easier to pretend that I never received a positive pregnancy test.  She also struggled with severe depression, anxiety and ultimately spiraled down to the point of suicidal ideations.

Dr. Sarah shared about her supportive tribe that sat with her in the discomfort and was ready to talk about anything or nothing. She said I want to be like that friend and just sit in the discomfort and give what another person needs during their loss. Sarah gave several examples of when she felt her healing started.

Sarah launched Embrace. Live. Thrive. at the of the 2020 and is on mission to destigmatize mental health issues in motherhood and educate women on foundations of self -care. She has been working to build her podcast also titled “Embrace. Live. Thrive”, which can be found on all the major podcast apps. Sarah is active on Facebook and Instagram working to bring awareness and connection to a world that is hurting.  She will be releasing her coaching programs later this month working to support women who are struggling with identity, healthy living, and so much more.

Encouragement from Dr. Sarah: She said, it is a deep seeded passion of mine to help women understand that depression, anxiety, be overwhelm, and anger, are all ok. You don't have to be ashamed about it and you don't have to feel guilty. It is OK to feel those emotions however it's not ok to sit and stay in those emotions. There are so many resources out there. There are so many options for healing that I want you to hear this. "That it is ok to not be ok, but let's not stay there." I will walk with you to help find the resources that you need to move forward whether it is medication, counseling, or another option for your healing that might fit you best. Let's help you find those. Let us help you move forward to where you can truly enjoy and experience life and not just survive.
