In this episode, I explain what you adrenals are, the symptoms of adrenal 'burnout' or insufficiency -why I think it's a collective issue and that nature divorcement in large part is at the heart of it.

Adrenal burnout could be the best thing that happens for some people.
BECAUSE, it can be a wake up call.  It was for me.
Often, some area/s of life are out of balance or/or out of integrity.
Addressing burnout is often the starting point for a deeper exploration of self and of life at a deeper level.
    Most people live superficially.
Correcting adrenal burnout often causes a person to begin to live at a much deeper level and to understand the body and mind from a more spiritual perspective as well.
This was the case for me and for many with whom I have worked with.
I believe it's wrong to think that adrenal burnout, or any serious condition, is just a curse to be “handled” as quickly as possible.
If you act this way, you may miss the magic of rerouting your life to live more authentically on a planet that is currently IMO in a collective burnout.

Spring is the season of fresh starts and rebirth!
An opportunity for deep, unimpeded rejuvenation and a real recreation of soul.
Spring is also the traditional season for cleansing and detoxification. Backyards and hills grow flush with some of the best spring tonics and wild greens– medicines for clearing the body and mind. Abundant, easy to identify, and delicious, these early spring plants are some of our most potent medicines for renewal. I personally think one of the best spring cleansing rituals is simply to eat wild greens– and lots of em!

Tune in and learn about spring's goal for human health and how mama nature chooses to support us to do it all!

Is your diet based on marketing & dogma OR nature & the seasons?

In this episode I chat about; why as a nutritional therapist  I don’t do diet dogma or ascribe to any specific diet framework and what I do instead.

As you know I’m focusing on a return to nature’s ways (call it rewilding if you prefer) here on the podcast now as I’ve been healing and deepening my own relationship and reconnection to nature and I realize the deeper I go back into this nature-connected lifeway the more I see the severe issues humanity is facing the further we continue down this trajectory of modern processed foods and diet dogma all trapped in a huge monster of a system that is completely unsustainable for us and the earth.

It’s also incredibly distracting to fight/argue about what diet to eat, not to mention entirely unproductive when we are not looking at the big picture of what humans adapted to eat throughout history to survive and thrive.

Eating as Mama nature intended requires a 30,000 foot view and a reach back to history to see what was done  pre-industry and pre-marketing campaigns to convince us which diet of the hour is THE it diet that is going to save us all from our health woes.

In this episode, I share what I mean by 'undo the sit'. We live a pretty sedentary life in the modern world and it's actually hazardous to our health. So, we need to re-arrange things a bit so we can MOVE more as we were intended. Sitting literally shortens you life, your chair is your enemy.

Chatting about dead hangs, lymph flow, oxygen deprivation and by the time you are done with this episode you'll be reminded and hopefully motivated to move more ways, more of the time.

It’s time to reconnect with and deepen the fundamentals of human health, so we can return to our wild state.

In this episode, I share about how I will be reworking the podcast a bit to be more in tune with all the shifts that have been occurring in my life!

The fundamentals are the core basics for human health that need to be habits.

    Health is a daily practice.
If we wait to turn our health around once we are already sick, it might already to be too late. Prevention is critical. Regardless of what your health complaints are, you'll always improve your chances of healing if you work on the fundamentals

These things provide your body with the energetic inputs it needs to engage the body's innate, self-healing mechanisms, restore balance, and maintain good health and vitality. When any one of those inputs is missing, you'll be operating with an energetic insufficiency - and thus, decreased vitality.
The greater the insufficiency, the greater the dis-ease.

You'd be surprised how many people I work with come to me initially and don't have a single one of these nailed down.

In this episode I dig into boundaries, empathy and self care and how those impact your health and well being.

Healthy boundaries ensure we are living in alignment with our best self in mind. When we do not have healthy boundaries in place, we deplete the reserves we need to thrive.

Often times we struggle with thinking boundaries are kind, in fact there are a lot of myths to bust around what constitutes healthy boundaries. I unpack those in the episode, which is very timely during the busy holiday season to pay attention to.
