Tensions rise between Ranchers and conservationists over wolf restoration project
A string of wolf attacks on livestock in Colorado's high country has become a flashpoint in the effort to restore the animal to its native range. Ranchers want the state to kill the wolves, which were reintroduced in that state just a few months ago.

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act expired on Friday, June 7, leaving many people who were affected by nuclear testing and research in the West without a way to get monetary support for their suffering. Supports of the act are still fighting for expansion of the act and trying to find other ways to revive the program.

Excellent Reporting
I came across this podcast searching for local reporting on the tragic college murders, and I have stayed to listen to other Idaho news stories because I am impressed by Gemma Gaudette. She is thoughtful, insightful and knowledgeable and has a great speaking voice. The reporting is factual without sensation and has been respectful of the victims.
