Episode 75: “Know Thyself” with Alex Lefkowitz (The Productive You‪)‬ Beyond Fit

    • Health & Fitness

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” -Einstein
“Being busy is a form of laziness- lazy thinking and indiscriminate action. Being busy is most often used as a guise for avoiding the few critically important but uncomfortable actions.” -Tim Ferriss
Today my friend Alex and I discussed personalities and how they relate to productivity. According to Alex, "getting the work done that you want to get done is what makes life worth living." Specifically, Alex and I took some time to talk about the TriMetrix personality assessment he shared with me. In addition we talked about paralysis by analysis, the perfectionism paradox, and other aspects of self-awareness, and other aspects of "knowing thyself" as Socrates stated.
For reference:

The DISC model discussed stands for: dominance, influence, steadiness, and compliance.
The personality trait I mentioned but couldn't remember the name for is “high self monitor” meaning- how much you change yourself to be like the others you’re around.
