They discuss what the urobiome is, what research has been done to date looking at the urobiome, and future directions for this area of research.

    Dr. Mandy Rounds, a Research Fellow at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, interviews Dr. John Stoffel, Urologist at the University of Michigan and Neurogenic Bladder Research Group about the findings of his article “Self-Reported Urological Hospitalizations or Emergency Room Visits in a Contemporary Spinal Cord Injury Cohort”. They discuss the important take-aways that people with spinal cord injury can consider when seeking medical attention for urologic issues, as well as considerations for clinicians who encounter spinal cord injury patients that are hospitalized or visit the emergency room with urinary tract infections.
