Today, Bill is feeling a little apathetic to the Stanley Cup Playoffs because the Flyers aren’t involved. So, instead, he’s cheering himself up by talking about blockbuster summer films, as well as some potential trades Philly could make this summer.

Philadelphia Flyers picking 12th at 2024 NHL Entry Draft… now what?
The Philadelphia Flyers did not win the draft lottery last night, and in fact no team moved out of their standings-allotted slot, with the San Jose Sharks maintaining the #1 pick and the right the draft Macklin Celebrini. Certainly, it would have been nice to win the lottery, but Philly is in position to draft a good player.
Now the question is, who will that player be?

The 2024 NHL Draft Lottery is Tuesday May 7th. The Philadelphia Flyers will probably end up picking 12th. There’s a possibility they pick 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 13th or 14th, as well.

Gave up watching games when they chased out Kate. Mostly because the Organization doesn’t care about hockey. But I love hockey. This year I didn’t watch or listen to a single game but caught every episode of Phly Hockey Podcast. I like the thoroughness . I like the rants. I like the off the wall opinions. Well done.
Charlie O’Connor
The only reason to listen to this podcast is to get Charlie O’Connor’s input and analysis. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and articulate, and he’s bogged down by the rest.
I’ve listened on and off over the years to BSH, and I tuned in most of this year, and the rest of the crew are just insufferable. They’re your basic, whiny fans who are fortunate enough to have a mic in front of them. None of them actually know anything about hockey outside of the Flyers, and it constantly shows. They’ve been doing this or some iteration of this show for long enough, you’d think they’d have grown a bit by now.
Unfortunately, this is where Charlie is now, and it’s the only place to listen to him, so I will continue skipping through each show until he is present.
Oh, and change the intro. Every time I’m welcomed and greeted to the show, I have to stop the impulse to turn it off it sounds so bad.
