Discovering Classical Chinese Medicine - Interview with Collin Campbell (ICEAM) S4 Ep 12

Navigating the world of further study for Herbalists and Chinese medicine practitioners can be a tough one - where to start? Hopefully  this episode will bring some clarity this for students of TCM, new  graduates of TCM, practitioners who've been in business a long time but searching for something better for their patients AND even to our  majority of listeners who are patients of those practitioners - give you  some insights into what dedicated practitioners like Collin go through  to become a respected teacher in the industry.   It was such a pleasure to interview fellow colleague, Collin Campbell.  Collin  has been practicing Chinese Medicine for 15 years, and has devoted his  career thus far to Classical Chinese medicine. In addition to his  private practice, as part of training to become a fellow of ICEAM,  Collin has seen over 1000 patients supervised by Dr Arnaud Versylus as  part of his fellowship training.  Some of the topics we discuss  are the differences between studying TCM and Classical Chinese Medicine,  the typical journey that many Chinese medicine practitioners take in  their quest to learn Classical systems of Chinese medicine.
ICEAM Is a pulse-based system of herbal medicine, we discuss how this relates to what ICEAM practitioners are taught.

How to Harmonise your spirit with the four seasons - with Tyler Rowe S4 ep9

How to Harmonise your spirit with the four seasons - with Tyler Rowe S4 ep9

Living in harmony with the seasons is a major feature of the health advice in the Nei Jing (Yellow Emperors classic of Internal Medicine), in this interview Marie discuss the relevance of this ancient wisdom in a modern world with Tyler Rowe.  Tyler Rowe is not only an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist but an expert on Wu Yun Liu Qi. He's got a great sense of humor and is incredibly down to earth. How do we tackle things like Air-conditioning and artificially induced climates? How do different cultures tell when seasons change and what should we do in response to this to lessen the chance of getting sick from the environment (Cold and flu like illness).

This advice is super relevant for students of CM, patients of acupuncturists /CM and even practitioners themselves who are looking for relevant ways to interpret the Nei Jing and the seasonal advice. It was my absolute pleasure to record this interview and I hope you find this wisdom as useful as I do, for yourself and your family/ community.

About Tyler Rowe (Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist)

Tyler Rowe is the owner and operator of his own clinic in Victoria, China Dragon. Tyler has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for more than 25 years.

He is highly regarded as a most experienced practitioner with excellent clinical results.

His qualifications include a Bachelor Degree in Acupuncture, a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine, a 6th Degree in Traditional Chinese Martial Arts and an Accredited Feng Shui Master.

Wu Wei, Alchemy and How to Transcend the Five Elements with Leta Herman (Inspired Action Podcast) S4 Ep8

What is Wu Wei? What is it to be your true self, be your element...but then can you be more than that? What a powerful discussion I had with Leta Herman from Inspired Action Podcast & the Alchemy Learning  Center.     We discuss what is this concept of Alchemy, how past trauma can impact  us and who we are, and help us to transcend to our true self and even  beyond that into a Sage.

About today's Guest, Leta Herman:   Leta Herman is an Alchemical Healer, Chinese Medicine teacher, Podcast  host of the Inspired Action Podcast, as well as author of Through the  Mystery Gate, The Energy of Love, Connecting Your Circle, and The BIG  “Little” Gua Sha Book. She is the founder of the Alchemy Healing Center,  a very active Chinese Medicine clinic in Northampton, MA dedicated to  helping clients find their true potential through Alchemical  transformation. She is the driving force behind the new Alchemy Learning  Center (AlchemyLearningCenter.com), offering online classes and live  events related to The Five Elements, The Nine Palaces, and Alchemy.

She has immersed herself in the philosophies of Daoism, Alchemical  Healing, and Chinese Medicine for over twenty years. She is a long-time  student of Master Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th generation Daoist priest and  Chinese Medicine master. She is also a graduate of Eliot Cowan’s Plant  Spirit Medicine studies program and has studied intensively with  well-known teachers and former students of J.R. Worsley, who brought  Five Element Acupuncture to England in the 1960s. A Smith College  graduate and past nationally syndicated journalist, Herman is a world  explorer who speaks multiple languages, loves life, her family, and a  challenging game of Boggle.

Please improve microphones!

Host is great. So is the info. Guests are generally undermiked. And when host and a guests are going back and forth, it sounds like a murmured private conversation.
It’s overall well presented. One other small issue. If time is limited. I would rather hear their expertise on Chinese Medicine rather than 10 minutes of their back ground.
Overall, many thanks!

Peek..... ,

Too much nervous laughing

I’m sure she knows what she’s talking about, but the constant nervous laughing is irritating - can’t listen to it.
