Common Sense with Dan Carlin is an independent look at politics and current events from popular New Media personality Dan Carlin.

Carlin's self-described "Martian" viewpoints infuse each episode with a political alien's take on the world around us and the problems it faces. It's a smart, unique (and admittedly U.S.-centric) program that doesn't dumb down the information or analysis for the slowest person in the room.

Carlin's rapid-fire staccato voice has been compared to William Shatner after too many espressos. That, plus his penchant for making everyone in the audience mad at him eventually, makes for a witch's brew of a podcast that is not for everyone. But for those craving a deeper intellectual analysis, a less partisan approach and unpredictable outside-the-box revelations, Common Sense with Dan Carlin is a feast for the mind.

Still the best

Thank you Dan for putting current events into historical perspective for us. We needed to hear it, whether we liked it, or not. It’s too bad that people say you are so liberal, or was it conservative… Your points always make people think, and that is what we need to do to break out of our social media created bubbles.

When things get tough The saltines crack

I’ve listen to every episode of Hardcore history. I am a religious listener of common sense but when society got crazy and Trump got elected then went away? Why? Because it was evident that white supremacy was rearing its ugly head and the contradictions were too much for Dan to bear. He’s a straight shooter but took a lot of time off to drop this bogus episode about both sides. How is antifa not supposed to exist when we have fascist how how is auntie for a gift to the right is fascism exist we fight it. Point blank it’s about power white folks white supremacy has power and we fight against it and you as a straight shooter then went away as podcasting blew up you shriveled away why? Another one bites the dust want to go move to Austin with Joe Rogan. Both sides both sides both sides both sides. There’s only one side to white supremacy either you stand with us or you stand against us. Goodbye it’s not time to get together Kumbaya a podcast and park in Ankeny change nothing is power from these folks who have power and then things will change for black folks for poor folks and the working class. There’s no other way Dan

Sorry Dan. You lost me.

One sided. And picking his facts. Not including the other side. So if Trump is a conspiracy theorist, and a manipulator public consciousness then what do you call the left saying he did Russian collusion. What about them calling his election illegitimate and stolen.Oh but yes let’s just say Trump did it when they have evidence this time.People take with Dan Carlin says with a big grain of salt because he’s picking what he chooses to talk about and ignoring the others. Talked about if we believe the president we have garbage in our minds. And that those who stormed the capital believe that they would be in concentration camps. Yes orange man bad we get it.
