Crone by Design - A Dash of Everything is a podcast that is centered on furthering the discussion on topics that mainstream media might deem taboo or lacking in education around. I approach the topic with an open mind and research to help people have a better understanding and to bring up these subjects in real-life conversations. Such as menstruation, menopause, miscarriages, witchy topics, and other controversial or not as-talked-about topics. My goal is to provide access for people who are willing to learn more about topics to help create a safer, inclusive, and respectful community.

    Postpartum Depression

    Postpartum Depression

    This week we are diving into Postpartum Blues, Postpartum Depression (PPD), and Postpartum Psychosis.  These are each different types of issues that can arise after someone gives birth.  Baby blues affect between 50% and 75% of people after delivery. Postpartum depression affects about 1 in 7 new parents and if you've had postpartum depression before, your risk increases to 30% each pregnancy. Postpartum Psychosis is extremely severe affecting 1 in 1,000 people after delivery.

    Beltane

    Beltane

    This week we are diving into Beltane. This year Beltane in the Northern Hemisphere is on Wednesday, May 1st. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is on October 31st. Beltane marks the transition point from Spring to Summer. It falls about halfway between the spring equinox (Ostara) and the coming summer solstice, Litha.
